At First Immanuel Lutheran School it is our goal that every individual student will contribute in a unique and special way to the overall success and growth of all extra curricular activities. Our programs strive to expose each student to many different activities. Activities that range from athletic to quilting and math competitions to pop culture competitions, we work hard to connect children with activities that interesting and fun. Through our programs we hope to help students improve their talents, while stressing the importance of teamwork and love of the activity. God has given his children many talents, which we try to nurture and develop in our extracurricular programs.

First Immanuel extra curricular activities are offered to all students in grades five through eight and are entirely optional. Some activities may allow fourth graders to participate. All students-will be asked to commit 100% to their activity.

GOALS

1) Participants will learn to glorify Christ and grow in their faith.
2) Participants will be taught to win humbly and lose graciously, whether on the athletic field or an academic competition.
3) Participants are given the opportunity to develop God-given talents and abilities to their fullest.
4) A winning attitude will be developed. Winning is defined as “an individual, group or team working as hard as they can to develop their abilities together.”
5) Participants will be taught to realize the importance of working as a “team” and see teammates, coaches or teachers, parents, and talents as gifts from God.
6) A positive experience shall be provided that develops a lifelong enjoyment for all activities.
