My philosophy of Christian education begins with the word of Christ, just as the word Christian. I believe that each child is special in the eyes of the Lord and that He sent his son Christ Jesus to save that child from sin and death eternal. Knowing how precious each one of God's children is to Him makes me aware of how important it is for me to lead them to the saving grace through Jesus. My daily example will be my opportunity to show them the forgiveness we all receive as we daily sin and fall short of the glory of God. Each day we begin anew forgiven and free to worship and spread the good news of Jesus. The education of our minds and our souls can be done within the same classroom. The subjects we learn can always reflect God's hand as we see the world as the creation of our Lord. In each facet of the day the love of Jesus can be shown as children learn to reflect the example of forgiveness by forgiving each other and coming to each other in love to work out problems. They can be taught to thank the Lord for the gifts He has given them and to use them to the best of their ability. I want to have the classroom reflect the joy of celebrating the unique blessing each child is and their worth to the Lord. As I teach I want the Lord to use my words and actions to guide the children and help them to be able to reach their full potential.
