Psalm 46:10 – “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” This is a verse that has always meant a lot to me. In the Psalm, God is telling the whole world to stop and shift our focus from ourselves to him. This verse is also a comfort because God tells us that He will be exalted. He does not say that he might be, or hopefully be; no matter what- God will be exalted. In this verse it is evident that God is above everything and he is in control.
God above all is not only displayed in personal lives, but also in Christian education. Education that puts Christ first helps children focus on their Lord and Savior and His importance in every aspect of their lives.
God is not reserved for Sundays, but is evident in all areas of academics. Through Christian education students learn to listen, trust, and praise God for all he has done. An education based on Christ strengthens students as they grow seeing God’s will
being done all around them. As a Christian educator, I am compelled to live my life as an example of Christ. Allowing the children to see God’s hand in my classes is only effective if they first see my life rooted in Christ. I teach to spread the kingdom of God and to encourage children to stay strong in the faith. My subjects and classes are vital, not only for preparatory education, but also for showing God’s control of the world.
