Purpose of Ladies Aid:
“To assist in building the kingdom of God here and elsewhere and especially to perform deeds of Christian charity and love.”
History:
The Ladies Aid of First Immanuel Lutheran, Cedarburg, was organized in 1911 with twelve charter members. Since the beginning in 1911, the Lord has blessed this organization with members willing to serve God in His kingdom.
Members:
Women of First Immanuel Ladies Aid are a diverse blend of ages and backgrounds. Mothers with small children (a babysitter is provided); women who are retired, homemakers, and women working outside the home make up the membership of the Ladies Aid.
Meetings:
On the first Tuesday of the month, September through June, we meet at 11:30 a.m. for a salad luncheon. There is no charge for the monthly luncheon which is served in the Fellowship Hall of First Immanuel. Following lunch, devotion is read and a program is shared for the enrichment of our faith and lives. Completing the agenda is the business meeting.
Service & Events:

Marketplace –A missions fundraising event sponsored by the FIL Ladies Aid. This year’s Proceeds will support two missions – Children of India and First Immanuel Help A Friend Fund.
At Marketplace, you will find: home-baked goods and garden produce; a delicious homemade luncheon; gently used resale items; a variety of vendors selling their wares; handmade gifts and fine needlecrafts.
Support Marketplace by donating your handmade crafted items and home baked goods, your gently used toys, or register as a Marketplace vendor
Marketplace has something for everyone. Get involved and spread the word…FIL Marketplace.
Sponsor Coffee Hours between worship services.
Serve meals for funerals, Lenten or Advent dinners, special events or meetings.
Quilting for Lutheran World Relief – between two and three hundred quilts are pieced and hand-tied each winter. Anyone may help construct these quilts sent to people in need.

Christmas visits to the “shut-in” members of First Immanuel.
Purchase equipment for First Immanuel church and school.
